Best of 2018: The Mid-Year Roundup

In between playing Fortnite and subsequently being tormented by rude teens for hours, I took some time to put together a list of my favorite songs, so far, of 2018. As it’s customary, I thought I would join the fray by looking back at the last 5-ish months before moving on to everything else 2018 has to offer. A few of the songs here are as fresh as Blackpink’s new EP, while some landed back in January and endured with strong staying power.

This list is particularly special because it’s the first one since the blog’s subtle rebranding, which I’ll explain at a later date, and for the first time in a while consists of music other than (but still including!) Korean pop.

It’s worth reminding everyone that this is a personal list and in no way is it meant to define anything other than the music I vibe to. As you’ll see, there are a lot of major singles and artists missing (e.g. BTS), but again, this is a list that represents what I like, what I found intriguing, and what I feel deserves a bit of recognition.
